Pakistani actress Areej Fatima has courageously revealed her battle and recovery from a rare and aggressive cancer known as choriocarcinoma, which can occur following a molar pregnancy. Sharing several pictures on social media, she informed her fans that although her life was going well and she looked forward to a long future, the diagnosis came as a sudden shock.
Areej described the past four months as extremely difficult for both her and her family. Initially, she hesitated to speak about her illness due to fear of being mocked. She admitted to two major concerns during her fight: accountability before Allah and the welfare of her family.
Highlighting the importance of cancer awareness, Areej urged everyone to undergo regular medical check-ups. She considers her recovery a "second life" and expressed deep gratitude for her family’s unwavering support throughout her ordeal.
Areej Fatima married Dr. Uzir Ali in 2017, and the couple has two sons. Currently residing in Ohio, USA, she has transitioned from acting to becoming a digital creator and influencer. She officially left the entertainment industry in 2019 after her hit drama 'Hasad.' Her other popular works include 'Ek Pal,' 'Aap Ke Liye,' and 'Hum Nasheen.'
