Court issues non-bailable warrants for Dania Shah
A judicial magistrate court in Karachi’s East district on Monday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Dania Shah in a case concerning the circulation of indecent videos of late television personality Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

During the hearing, the court directed law enforcement authorities to arrest Dania Shah and produce her before the court on the next hearing date.

The development came after the accused filed a petition seeking exemption from personal appearance in court. However, the petitioner’s counsel raised objections to the exemption request, which the court subsequently rejected.

Following the rejection of the petition, the court issued non-bailable arrest warrants and ordered that Dania Shah be brought before it in accordance with its directions.

The court adjourned further proceedings until October 28, 2026.

The case was initiated following a petition filed by the daughter of the late Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain. She approached the court under the Cyber Crime Act over the alleged circulation of indecent videos involving her father.

The matter has drawn attention because of its connection to the late television host and the legal questions surrounding the alleged online distribution of private and sensitive content.

The next hearing is scheduled for October 28, when the court is expected to proceed with the case in accordance with the law.
