Hollywood stars Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett attended the UK premiere of their upcoming thriller Verity in London, attracting attention as they promoted the highly anticipated adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel.
The pair appeared together at the September 24 premiere at Curzon Mayfair in London. Johnson, 36, turned heads in a lace dress paired with black underwear, while Hartnett, 48, opted for a classic black suit. Hartnett was also accompanied by his wife, actress Tamsin Egerton.
Their co-star Anne Hathaway, who plays Verity Crawford in the film, was in New York on the same day for promotional activities. The Oscar-winning actress, 43, was photographed leaving her hotel for an interview.
Verity is based on Hoover’s 2018 bestselling novel of the same name. The story follows struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh, portrayed by Johnson, who is hired to complete a successful book series after its author, Verity Crawford, is unable to continue following a mysterious accident.
While staying at Verity and her husband Jeremy Crawford’s home, Lowen discovers an unpublished manuscript containing disturbing secrets about the family. The discovery takes her into a dangerous and increasingly complicated situation.
Josh Hartnett plays Jeremy Crawford, while Anne Hathaway takes on the role of Verity. Michael Showalter directed the film, with Nick Antosca writing the screenplay. Hathaway is also among the film’s producers.
The psychological thriller is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 2, with fans of Hoover’s novel eagerly awaiting its big-screen adaptation.
The film’s star-studded cast and mystery-driven storyline have made Verity one of the upcoming releases drawing considerable attention ahead of its theatrical debut.
