RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s top military leadership, during the 270th Corps Commanders’ Conference held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, sent out a resolute message on Thursday: “No one can coerce Pakistan through the use or threat of force.” The statement, issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), came in the wake of increasing regional tensions and internal security challenges.

The conference, chaired by Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, marked the first meeting since his promotion to the country’s highest military rank. Participants congratulated the army chief on his conferment as field marshal, acknowledging his strategic foresight and decisive leadership in matters of national security.

Reaffirming the country’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty, the corps commanders declared their intent to dismantle all threats to Pakistan’s stability. “Hostile elements trained and financed to incite chaos will be decimated with full force of national will and institutional strength,” the statement read.

The military leadership expressed grave concern over the increasing use of non-state actors by India to destabilize Pakistan, particularly through proxy warfare in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. In light of the recent school bus attack in Khuzdar—claimed to be orchestrated through India-sponsored proxies—the commanders condemned the targeting of civilians, especially children, terming it a barbaric act that violates all norms of humanity and international law.

During the forum, the successful conclusion of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, a significant phase of the broader campaign Marka-e-Haq, was reviewed in detail. The top brass paid tribute to the martyrs of the operation, asserting that their sacrifices would not go in vain. Fateha was offered for those who lost their lives, including the victims of the Khuzdar attack.

The conference also took a broader strategic look at regional developments, including security along the Line of Control, the Working Boundary, and Pakistan’s eastern frontier with India. The commanders expressed concern over continuing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), calling for urgent international intervention to avert a worsening humanitarian crisis.

In a strong display of national unity, the forum lauded the role of Pakistan’s media, youth, and political leadership in countering misinformation, supporting national defence efforts, and projecting a cohesive national narrative. The army chief praised the operational readiness and high morale of Pakistan’s armed forces and urged all formations to maintain heightened vigilance amid evolving threats.

“Pakistan’s defensive response in recent crises reflected strategic restraint, moral clarity, and operational precision,” the ISPR concluded, adding that the army remains steadfast in its duty to protect the nation.

“The people of Pakistan are our greatest strength,” said Field Marshal Munir. “We remain committed to their trust and expectations in our shared struggle against any foreign aggression, terrorism and extremism.”

The conference ended on a note of unity and determination, reaffirming the army’s pivotal role in ensuring internal security and defending national borders.
