Dua-e-Khadija from Peshawar has been crowned Miss Pakistan Global 2025, marking a proud moment for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region and for Pakistan’s growing presence on the international pageant stage.
A recent graduate with a BA Honours in Film and Digital Art, Dua-e-Khadija is not only a rising star in the world of beauty pageants but also a passionate storyteller with ambitions to reshape Pakistani cinema. In an exclusive interview with Pakistan State Time, she opened up about her childhood fascination with pageants and how they inspired her.
“I have been fascinated by beauty pageants since childhood,” she said. “They celebrate confidence, intelligence, and making a difference. A beauty queen is not just a model; she’s a role model.”
Beyond the glitz and glamour, Dua-e-Khadija sees herself as a changemaker. She expressed a deep commitment to environmental advocacy, saying, “I care deeply about climate change. I want Pakistan and the world to be greener and cleaner. While we need better infrastructure, we also need sustainable thinking.”
The young titleholder also highlighted her goal of entering the film industry as a director, with a vision to bring a fresh, authentic voice to Pakistani cinema. “I have always loved storytelling, and my dream is to become a film director who brings a fresh perspective to Pakistani cinema,” she shared.
On navigating the intersection of pageantry, personal values, and faith, she added, “I believe that if you stay true to your values and religion, you can find a good balance. Pageants give women a platform to speak up for important causes, represent their country, and work for positive change.”
Sonia Ahmed, President of Miss Pakistan World, praised the new queen’s vision and potential, stating, “Dua-e-Khadija is poised to make a significant impact on the world stage.”
