ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday announced that all Large Taxpayer Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayer Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs), and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) will remain open on Saturday, November 29, 2025, to facilitate taxpayers.
In an official statement, the FBR directed that these offices will observe the day as a **normal working day** for the collection of duties and taxes. The move is aimed at ensuring that taxpayers have adequate access to services and can meet their tax obligations without facing scheduling constraints.
The announcement covers all major tax collection offices across Pakistan, reinforcing the FBR’s commitment to taxpayer facilitation and compliance. By keeping offices open on a weekend, the FBR seeks to provide additional opportunities for businesses and individuals to submit payments, resolve queries, and complete necessary documentation.
FBR officials emphasized that the decision reflects the board’s ongoing efforts to improve efficiency in tax administration and ease the process for taxpayers. All LTOs, MTOs, CTOs, and RTOs have been instructed to ensure that their staff are available and operational throughout Saturday to handle taxpayer requests and facilitate smooth tax collection.
This step is part of a broader initiative by the FBR to enhance revenue collection, improve taxpayer services, and promote voluntary compliance across the country. Taxpayers are encouraged to utilize this opportunity to fulfill their tax obligations in a timely manner, avoiding last-minute delays and ensuring proper documentation for their payments.
The FBR reiterated its commitment to transparency and convenience in tax administration, stating that such measures are designed to support economic growth and strengthen Pakistan’s revenue system.
