ARAFAT: Delivering the Hajj 2025 sermon from Masjid al-Namirah in Arafat, Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Imam of Masjid al-Haram and member of the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars, offered heartfelt prayers for the people of Palestine and urged Muslims to uphold righteousness, unity, and compassion.
“O Allah, help the people of Palestine and destroy its enemies,” Sheikh Saleh prayed, addressing the massive congregation of pilgrims gathered at Mount Arafat. He further asked Allah to forgive the martyrs of Palestine and grant complete healing to the wounded, acknowledging the ongoing violence and suffering in the region.
The Imam emphasized the importance of continuous prayer, charity (zakat), and care for neighbors, urging Muslims to embody Islamic values in their daily lives. “Allah commands believers to cooperate in righteousness and to adopt piety,” he reminded.
Sheikh Saleh encouraged worshippers to treat their parents kindly, support orphans, widows, and the needy, and always speak the truth. He warned against arrogance and urged believers to stay faithful to their promises.
Cautioning against the divisive influence of the devil, he said, “Iblis is your enemy; avoid following him and keep praying to Allah.”
Millions of pilgrims attended the sermon at Mount Arafat, a key ritual of Hajj. The annual pilgrimage—one of Islam’s five pillars—remains a deeply spiritual journey for Muslims worldwide, culminating in this powerful and unifying sermon.
