KARACHI: Karachi Police intensified their crackdown on drug trafficking networks after arresting another alleged female drug trafficker, Nargis alias “Malka,” during a major operation in the city on Wednesday. The latest Karachi drug raid comes days after the high-profile arrest of alleged cocaine dealer Anmol alias Pinky, also known as the “Cocaine Queen.”

According to police officials, the suspect was involved in supplying narcotics across Karachi and interior Sindh. Authorities said the drug trafficking network targeted several residential and upscale neighborhoods, raising concerns over the growing spread of illegal drugs in urban areas.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Abdul Khaliq Pirzada confirmed that the operation was conducted in Swati Mohalla near Khudadad Graveyard after law enforcement agencies received intelligence from confidential informants. During the raid, police recovered 35 kilograms and 265 grams of hashish, commonly known as charas, with an estimated market value exceeding Rs60 million.

Police also seized more than Rs100,000 in cash from the suspect’s possession. Officials believe the recovered narcotics were prepared for distribution throughout different parts of Karachi, including densely populated and high-income localities.

Investigators revealed that Nargis alias Malka was allegedly linked to an organized narcotics gang operating in Karachi. Police suspect several accomplices are still active in different areas of the city, and raids are underway to arrest other members connected to the illegal drug trade.

SSP Malir stated that Karachi Police are committed to dismantling the entire drug trafficking network and taking strict action against all facilitators involved in narcotics operations. The arrest is part of an ongoing anti-drug campaign launched after the shocking revelations in the Anmol Pinky case.

Earlier, authorities arrested Anmol alias Pinky, who was accused of running a mobile cocaine laboratory and distributing high-grade cocaine in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. Police recovered semi-prepared cocaine, ketamine, methamphetamine, ephedrine, cocaine capsules, illegal chemicals, and homemade red wine during the operation.

The latest developments highlight increasing efforts by Karachi Police to curb drug smuggling, narcotics supply, and organized crime across Pakistan’s largest city.
