KPK: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has stepped up enforcement against property tax defaulters, launching targeted operations in Abbottabad and Swabi to recover outstanding dues and ensure compliance with tax regulations. The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department carried out the latest crackdown, sealing multiple properties after repeated notices to owners went unheeded.
In Abbottabad, officials conducted a focused in the Qalandarabad area under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer Ammar Jadoon. The drive specifically targeted major property tax defaulters who had failed to clear their liabilities despite several warnings. As a result, several commercial and residential units were sealed in accordance with legal provisions.
Authorities stated that the crackdown on property tax defaulters is part of a broader strategy to improve revenue collection and discourage tax evasion. Officials emphasized that property owners were given sufficient time and multiple notices to settle their outstanding taxes before strict action was taken.
A similar operation was carried out in Swabi under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer Shakeel Khan. The department reiterated that such enforcement actions would continue across the province to ensure that all property owners comply with tax obligations.

The department also warned that further crackdowns will be expanded to other districts, with special teams monitoring tax compliance. Property owners are encouraged to verify their dues and clear outstanding amounts immediately to avoid inconvenience.
