Actor-host Mishi Khan has expressed her strong disapproval of fellow actor Sana Nawaz's recent comments regarding the ongoing India-Pakistan conflict. Nawaz, who is currently on vacation in London, came under fire after stating that "artists have no boundaries" and that they should not be expected to take sides in national conflicts. She emphasized that actors and artists should not be pressured into commenting on such matters, as it is not their responsibility.
In response, Mishi Khan took to Instagram to voice her disagreement with Nawaz's stance. In a direct video message, Khan questioned Nawaz’s position, saying, “How can you say that ‘artists have no boundaries’? Didn’t you use your Pakistani passport to get through immigration in England? Did they give you a visa because you’re an artist?” Khan further stressed that when the sovereignty of one's country is at risk, it is essential to recognize and define boundaries.
Khan also pointed out that Indian artists are very clear about their identity, proudly asserting their nationality before their profession. She added, “If you can’t show your solidarity with Pakistan, at least refrain from making such statements.” Khan ended the video by advising Nawaz to study the concept of the two-nation theory and reconsider her views before making “lame” statements. “This is pathetic,” Khan concluded, emphasizing that every citizen, regardless of their profession, has a duty to stand up for their country’s sovereignty.
