Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has released a detailed video statement on social media following the latest court hearing in the case involving Saqib Chadhar.
In her statement shared on Threads, Iqbal addressed reports claiming that Saqib Chadhar and his wife had been declared innocent. She clarified that, according to her understanding, the accused have not been proven innocent, while the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has sought additional time to conduct further investigation.
Iqbal also raised questions about developments in the investigation, including changes involving the investigating officer (IO) and statements recorded during the proceedings. She argued that further investigation should not be interpreted as a final declaration of innocence or guilt.
The actress further discussed the role of Saqib Chadhar’s wife, Sumaira, claiming that she had not been part of the investigation from the beginning.
Momina Iqbal concluded by stressing that the latest court proceedings should not be viewed as proof that the accused have been cleared of the allegations. She maintained that the case remains under investigation and that further proceedings are expected.
