ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces have successfully eliminated nine Indian-sponsored terrorists in three separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday.

The operations were carried out in the districts of Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, and Khyber, targeting militants linked to Indian-backed networks referred to as “Khwarij.”

In the first operation in Dera Ismail Khan, troops launched an assault on a known hideout. After an intense exchange of fire, four militants were killed on the spot. A second operation was conducted in the Tank district, where two more terrorists were neutralized during a similar engagement.

In a third operation in the Bagh area of Khyber District, security forces successfully eliminated three additional militants. The ISPR reported that all the terrorists killed had been involved in numerous attacks and subversive activities in the region.

Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the sites of the encounters. Ongoing sanitization operations are being conducted in the affected areas to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining militants.

“These operations highlight the unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces to eradicate the threat of Indian-sponsored terrorism from our soil,” the ISPR statement said.

The military’s latest action follows a briefing earlier this week by DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, who presented concrete evidence of India’s involvement in terrorist activities within Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan.

During a joint press conference with Interior Secretary Khurram Agha, the DG ISPR revealed details about a recent attack on a school bus in Khuzdar on May 21, which killed several innocent children. He identified Indian proxies, labeled “Fitna-al-Hindustan,” as orchestrators of the attack.

Evidence included an audio recording allegedly featuring a serving Indian Army officer, Major Sandeep, coordinating with an operative in Balochistan to fund and execute attacks.

The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in defending the nation and eliminating threats to its internal stability.
