PASRUR: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday visited frontline areas involved in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, part of the broader military campaign Maarka-e-Haq (Battle for Truth), to express solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces and commend their defense of the country’s sovereignty.
Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and other senior military and civilian officials, the Prime Minister visited Pasrur Cantonment near Sialkot. There, he met with officers and troops engaged in active operations along the frontline.
“The entire nation is proud of your unwavering dedication and sacrifices,” PM Shehbaz told the troops, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
The Prime Minister also announced plans to visit various Pakistan Air Force and Navy bases to show support for all branches of the armed forces.
During the visit, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of the operation and the current readiness of the Corps.
Praising the military’s swift and effective response, the Prime Minister said, “Our brave Armed Forces, backed by the nation’s resolve, heroically defended the motherland and delivered a decisive blow to the enemy’s aggression.”
He added that history would record how Pakistan’s defenders repelled the unprovoked Indian offensive within hours, with exceptional precision and resolve.
Condemning attacks on civilians, including women and children, he called India’s actions a violation of international laws and morals. PM Shehbaz criticized India for avoiding a neutral investigation and launching an unjustified assault driven by arrogance. He concluded, “Our martyrs are the pride of the nation, and we shall always honor their sacrifice.”
