New details have surfaced following former Pakistan cricketer Imad Wasim’s announcement of his divorce, after his wife Sania Ashfaq publicly spoke about the circumstances surrounding the breakdown of their marriage.
In a statement shared on social media, Sania Ashfaq claimed that the separation was influenced by the involvement of a third person, whom she alleged had an interest in marrying Imad Wasim. She said the situation led to emotional distress and deeply affected their family life, particularly their children.
Sania stated that their household has been shattered and claimed that their youngest child, who is only five months old, has not received care or affection from his father. While acknowledging that every marriage faces difficulties, she maintained that she fulfilled her responsibilities as a wife and mother and made repeated efforts to keep the family together.
According to her, the situation worsened after the alleged third-party involvement, forcing her to endure mental pressure and insensitive treatment in order to protect her children’s future and the family’s dignity. She said she chose patience for a long time but has now decided to speak out.
Sania Ashfaq added that she possesses documented evidence to support her claims and warned that any attempt to silence or suppress the truth would be challenged legally. She clarified that her decision to speak publicly is not driven by revenge, but by a desire for truth, justice, and to give voice to women who are often discouraged from speaking out.
