RAWALPIND: Security forces eliminated three more Indian-sponsored terrorists during a targeted sanitization operation in the Sambaza area of Zhob, near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the operation took place on the night of August 10–11, following a series of successful engagements in the same area from August 7 to 9, during which 47 terrorists were neutralized.
With the latest action, the total number of terrorists killed in the four-day operation has reached 50. Security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the slain militants. The military reiterated its resolve to safeguard Pakistan’s borders and foil all attempts to disrupt national peace and stability.
Earlier, 14 terrorists were killed in the Sambaza region, highlighting ongoing efforts to eliminate threats along the Pak-Afghan border.
President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces for their courage and effectiveness, stating that the nation stands united behind its defenders. He affirmed that any infiltration attempt will be met with a strong response. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also commended the forces for killing 33 Khawarij militants, acknowledging their bravery in foiling cross-border terrorism.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi lauded the elimination of three more "Fitna-e-Hindustan" terrorists in Zhob, terming it a major success against Indian-backed militancy. He highlighted the professional skill and dedication of the security personnel, calling their achievements a source of national pride.
