KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall and thunderstorms in Karachi over Wednesday and Thursday, with chances of heavy downpours in certain areas of the city ahead of Eid.
In an early warning advisory, the Met Office stated that skies will remain mostly cloudy, with periods of rain, thunder, and strong winds expected intermittently. Officials cautioned that gusty winds accompanying the rain could damage weak structures in vulnerable areas.
Daytime temperatures are expected to stay between 33°C and 35°C, while nighttime temperatures may fall between 21°C and 23°C. Humidity levels are likely to remain high, ranging from 75% to 85%.
Residents have been urged to take necessary precautions, limit non-essential travel, and stay connected with local authorities in case of emergencies.
Earlier in the season, Karachi experienced similar weather conditions, including light winter drizzle that provided some relief from dry weather and slightly reduced temperatures.
