KARACHI: The weather turned pleasant in Karachi on Monday as several areas received light early morning drizzle, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The Met Office said the city is expected to witness light showers during the morning and evening hours over the coming days. Officials explained that the high humidity levels are leading to cloud formation, which could bring intermittent drizzle.
Today’s maximum temperature in Karachi is forecast to reach 33 degrees Celsius, with winds blowing from the west at around 7 kilometers per hour. Despite the drizzle, hot and dry weather is likely to prevail in most other parts of the country over the next twelve hours.
Morning temperatures recorded in major cities were: Islamabad 23°C, Lahore 28°C, Karachi 27°C, Peshawar 26°C, Quetta 18°C, Gilgit 13°C, Murree 17°C, and Muzaffarabad 19°C.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates mainly dry conditions in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. Morning temperatures stood at Srinagar and Anantnag 14°C, Shopian, Pulwama and Baramula 13°C, Jammu 25°C, and Leh 6°C.
