KARACHI: The Met Office has forecast partly cloudy skies and light rain in different parts of Karachi over the next two days as a fresh monsoon system influences weather conditions across Pakistan.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi’s maximum temperature is expected to remain between 33°C and 35°C, while the current temperature stands at 30°C with 75 percent humidity. Southwestern winds are blowing at a speed of 11 km/h, contributing to humid conditions across the city.
The PMD said a new monsoon forecast indicates rain with wind and thunderstorms in several regions until July 25. Besides Karachi, isolated showers are expected in Tharparkar, Mithi, Sukkur, Larkana, Shikarpur, Dadu, and Jacobabad from July 20 to 24.
Authorities have also warned of possible flash flooding in vulnerable streams and nullahs in northern and hilly regions as monsoon activity intensifies, urging residents to stay updated with official weather advisories.
