Islamabad: Pakistan has firmly rejected Indian media reports alleging attacks by Pakistan on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), calling them “baseless and fabricated” attempts to mislead the international community and justify Indian aggression.

Security sources in Pakistan categorically denied the allegations, asserting that no such attacks were launched and labeling the claims as “white lies” propagated to create a false narrative of Pakistani aggression. “These fabricated stories are designed to provide India with a pretext to continue its aggression against Pakistan,” officials stated.

The sources emphasized that the reports are completely unfounded and part of a broader disinformation campaign. “There is no credibility to these concocted claims,” they said, accusing India of manipulating the narrative to legitimize its recent military actions, including missile and drone strikes deep into Pakistani territory.

Earlier in the day, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry addressed the issue in a joint press conference. They strongly refuted Indian accusations that Pakistan had targeted 15 locations inside Indian territory around midnight on May 7 and 8.

Lt Gen Chaudhry called the Indian claims “utterly false” and challenged their logic. “If India claims to have neutralized 15 projectiles, why couldn’t it stop its own aircraft from being shot down?” he asked, referencing Pakistan’s downing of five Indian warplanes, including three Rafale jets, one MiG-29, and one SU-30, in a recent air encounter.

The DG ISPR warned that Pakistan’s response, when it comes, will be unmistakable and undeniable. “When Pakistan strikes, the Indian media won’t need to spin stories—the whole world will know,” he said.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions following Pakistan’s interception of 25 Israeli-made Indian drones and marks another escalation in the war of narratives between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
