ISLAMABAD: The Consul General of the United Arab Emirates, Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remeithi, has clarified that reports claiming a suspension of UAE visas for Pakistani nationals are entirely false. He emphasized that the rumors circulating online and in some media outlets have no factual basis.

Al-Remeithi confirmed that the UAE visa centre in Karachi, known as Asia’s largest visa facility, remains fully operational for Pakistani applicants. “The staff at the Karachi visa centre continues to provide services for all routine visa applications,” he said, assuring that Emirati visas for Pakistani men and women are being processed without any disruption.

Highlighting the strong diplomatic and economic ties between Pakistan and the UAE, the Consul General said, “Our bilateral relations rest on firm foundations, and the recent claims about halting visa issuance are completely untrue.” He also noted that these rumors appear to be spread by certain elements with no official information or verification.

Al-Remeithi further explained that while some categories of visas may require advance appointments, the visa centre continues to facilitate services for medical travel, academic seminars, and other essential purposes. Pakistani nationals can continue to apply for UAE visas with confidence, he added.

The UAE has long maintained a robust visa system for Pakistani citizens, supporting tourism, business travel, medical visits, and educational exchanges. The Consul General’s clarification aims to reassure both the public and stakeholders that visa services remain uninterrupted, countering misinformation that has caused unnecessary concern among Pakistani applicants.

Officials at the Karachi visa centre have reiterated that all routine services, including visa applications for work, family visits, and other purposes, are fully operational. Applicants are encouraged to follow the official UAE visa channels and online portals for accurate updates and avoid relying on unverified sources.

The statement from Al-Remeithi reinforces the UAE’s commitment to maintaining seamless travel and diplomatic ties with Pakistan. As visa services continue smoothly, Pakistani nationals can plan travel, business, and educational activities without fear of delays or disruptions.

This update confirms that the UAE visa system remains active, efficient, and accessible to Pakistani applicants, countering all rumors of suspension and ensuring continued strong bilateral cooperation.
