K-pop sensation BTS has officially announced their long-awaited comeback, set for March 20, 2026, ending a nearly four-year hiatus. The group’s return follows the completion of South Korea’s mandatory military service by all seven members: RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Suga, Jung Kook, and j-hope.
BigHit Music confirmed the comeback on social media, noting that rapper Suga was the last member to finish his service in June 2025, completing alternative duties due to a shoulder injury, while the remaining six members served in the army. During the hiatus, BTS staggered their enlistments, allowing members to pursue solo projects.
The group has teased a world tour and a new album for spring 2026, which will reflect each member’s creative input. This upcoming release will be BTS’ first group album since 2022’s anthology Proof and their first studio album since Be in 2020. Fans can expect the same passion and vision that defined BTS’ early years.
