KARACHI: The Local Government Department, Government of Sindh, has officially repatriated Kamran Khan Satti S/o Riaz Satti, originally appointed as Assistant (BPS-14) in TMA Daharki, District Ghotki, in 2012. As per notification No. SOII/LG/17-32/2021/SUK, issued on September 22, 2025, Mr. Satti has been directed to report back to his parent department with immediate effect.
Mr. Satti's service history has raised serious legal and administrative concerns. Before the completion of his probation period, he was transferred to TMA Pacca Chang and illegally promoted to Superintendent (BPS-16) in 2014 a clear violation of rules. In 2015, without formal absorption or merger, he was further transferred to Malir Development Authority (MDA), where he was upgraded to Superintendent (BPS-17) without due promotion. Despite this, no official promotion order to BPS-17 exists. Shockingly, in November and December 2024, he was promoted to Deputy Secretary (BPS-18) in MDA, even though he was never legally promoted as Assistant Director (BPS-17).
This occurred while a NAB enquiry concerning the 2012-13 local government appointments were still pending and in High Court of Sindh the case was pending against him at the time of promotion in Nov 2024. The recent repatriation, signed by Secretary Dr. Waseem Shamshad Ali and endorsed by Section Officer-II Shahbaz Akhund, seeks to rectify these longstanding irregularities.
