The younger brother of child star Ahmad Shah, Umer, passed away on Monday, the family confirmed in an emotional social media post.
Umer, who like his elder brother had gained popularity through videos and television appearances, was beloved by fans for his charm and innocence. In a heartfelt note on Instagram, Ahmad wrote: “Our little shining star, Umer Shah, has returned to Allah Almighty. I request everyone to remember him and our family in prayers.”
The brothers rose to fame after appearing in a Ramadan transmission, with Ahmad first going viral for his “Peeche dekho” video. Umer later became a familiar face, frequently appearing alongside his brother, and winning the affection of viewers with his adorable expressions and bond with Ahmad.
According to anchor Waseem Badami, doctors revealed that Umer passed away after vomiting entered his lungs, leading to cardiac arrest. The tragic incident occurred around Fajr prayer time.
Tributes poured in from celebrities and fellow social media stars. Actor Adnan Siddiqui expressed grief, remembering Umer as a joyful presence, while vlogger Muhammad Shiraz described him as a dear friend.
